Child Guidance & Family Solutions works in tandem with primary care physicians in creating effective, cooperative, systemic mental healthcare. Many area physicians are aware of the depth and breadth of Child Guidance & Family Solutions services and refer cases into our proven treatment planning process.
Child Guidance & Family Solutions workers collaborate with other child serving agencies, such as Summit County Children Services Board, Summit County Juvenile Court, and the Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities. To aid in the coordination of services to youth who are involved in 2 or more systems, we have a person who serves as a liaison to SCCS and juvenile court. She attends juvenile court hearings and interagency meetings to coordinate services and assure that the youth's needs are met. We are also a member of the Summit County Cluster for Youth, a collaborative of 14 child serving agencies that work together to coordinate and provide services for multi-system youth.
