The problems faced by very young children are often different than those of older children.
Counseling helpful to families of older children often doesn’t work for younger children. Young children simply don’t think in the same way as older children. They don’t have the same needs. Counseling needs to take into account the developmental stage of the child. The Early Childhood Program addresses the behavioral, social, emotional, educational and developmental needs of young children (birth through kindergarten).
A staff member who has a special background in working with families of young children will meet with you and your child to evaluate your child and set specific goals. A wide range of services are available. When appropriate or necessary, some of these services might be provided in your home or in other convenient locations. Also, we recognize the importance of other community resources, such as child care providers, schools and medical doctors. We work closely with these individuals to provide the best service for your child and family.
