HEALTH CARE
Health care coverage does not commence until the beginning of the month following the completion of 3 months of employment. We have a Section #125 plan, which affords staff core/optional benefits. Currently, there are two choices for the Medical portion of the Plan, traditional plan with a $2,000/$4,000 deductible or a high deductible (CDHP) plan with a $2,500/$5,000 deductible. If an employee elects to participate in a health savings account (HSA) CG&FS currently funds 25% of the deductible.
Core benefits are fully paid for by the Agency. They are Life Insurance (2X your annual salary plus $10,000 – Maximum $175,000), Short Term Disability (60% wage replacement) and Long-Term Disability (65% wage replacement, maximum $60,000 annual earnings). Optional benefits are medical, dental, vision, and additional life insurance.
VACATION
Staff earn 15 vacation days/year. Vacation time is accrued immediately and on a bi-weekly basis. Staff may begin to take vacation after their orientation period and according to the guidelines outlined in Employee Handbook.
HOLIDAYS
Nine paid holidays are observed each year. Included in this number is ½ of Christmas Eve and ½ of New Year’s Eve. Also included are two Personal Days which may be taken at the employee’s discretion and according to the guidelines outlined in the Employee Handbook.
SICK TIME
All full-time standard staff are eligible for 8 sick days each calendar year. Sick leave may be taken for the illness or health care of the staff or in-home family member. Unused time is deposited in a “Sick Bank” account and may be accessed in certain circumstances in the future. Further guidelines are outlined in the Employee Handbook.
RETIREMENT
We offer all eligible standard staff participation in a 401K Retirement Savings Plan. This Plan includes a 50-cent match on the first 6% of your contributions. In addition to the match, you may receive a PS (Profit Sharing) contribution if end of the year financials dictate a favorable position. For calendar year 2004, staff received a 3% profit sharing in March 2005. Since calendar year 2005, there has been no profit sharing.
BACKGROUND CHECK
Criminal background and motor vehicle investigations are conducted on all staff. Drug/alcohol screening and fingerprinting is mandatory and is arranged/paid for by the Agency. Three positive references are required.
