Trauma Systems for Refugees (TSTR) Model
Our program is a partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital through their Trauma and Community Resilience Center. We use the Trauma Systems Therapy for Refugees (TSTR) model that focuses on culturally responsive services and the reduction of barriers within refugee communities.
We Serve the Local Refugee Community
We serve the refugee community through a culturally responsive lens and offer community outreach efforts using a designated cultural broker, who is part of the refugee community being served, skill-based groups for refugee youth and direct mental health services provided by professionals trained in the TSTR model.
