Meet Rich, School-based Counselor

As a School-based Counselor for CGFS, Rich plays a vital role in supporting the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students. He works directly within the school environment to provide a range of services aimed at fostering positive development and addressing issues that may interfere with a student's learning and overall success. Currently, Rich collaborates with students, parents, and teachers at Field Local Schools, Green Local Schools, and The Lippman School.

When asked what he finds most rewarding about his work, Rich responds, "That moment when you see a kid confront ideas that have been holding them down, and then the relief when they get to let them go. It's hard work; it doesn't come easy, but when you witness that burden lift, it reminds you why you put in the effort."

Outside of work, Rich enjoys a variety of activities. "I'm a husband, a gardener, a coffee enthusiast, a Dungeons and Dragons player, a bike rider, a potter, and a mountain lover. My motto is 'Laugh quickly, live generously, and help others take their next step.'"

Thank you, Rich, for helping to create positive and supportive school environments where students can thrive not only academically but also emotionally and socially! We are grateful for you and all the CGFS mental and behavioral health professionals who dedicate themselves to providing our clients with care, compassion, and support. The work of our team is truly transformative, and their dedication to healing is a source of hope for the individuals and families we assist.
