Children and teens facing emotional, behavioral and social difficulties sometimes need help beyond what parents can provide or a school’s staff is equipped to handle. CG&FS is a trusted partner with area schools, providing mental health support services on site at the school.
Therapists and therapeutic behavior support specialists provide counseling, case management and crisis intervention services for students. They also consult with the educational team on behavioral interventions. Our school-based staff is also available to attend meetings/parent conferences.

- Creating plans to help students stay in school and avoid truancy and expulsion

School-Based Prevention Services
- LifeSkills® - Substance use prevention education for grades 6-12
- LifeSkills is a school-based prevention program aimed at reducing the risks of alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse as well as violence. It targets social and psychological factors and gives school staff and students the confidence and skills to manage challenging situations.

- Too Good for Violence and Too Good for Drugs - Violence and/or Substance Use prevention for grades K-12
- Too Good is a K-12 evidence-based substance use and violence prevention intervention designed to build students’
skills to resist problem behaviors. It increases students’ ability to set reachable goals, make responsible decisions, identify
and manage emotions, and effectively communicate. Too Good programs are designed to align with frameworks for Response to Intervention (RTI) or Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS).
