Telehealth
Telehealth offers a convenient way to receive mental and behavioral health care from home, work, or school. With internet or phone access, children, teens, and adults can meet with CGFS clinicians online using a smartphone, computer, or tablet.
Common reasons people choose telehealth:
-
Improves access to care
-
Fits busy schedules
-
Reduces exposure to illness
-
Saves time
-
Provides comfort to those anxious about office visits
-
Offers privacy to reduce stigma
CGFS clients can often switch an in‑person appointment to telehealth the same day due to issues like illness, weather, or transportation problems.
While telehealth is a flexible and convenient option, it may not be appropriate for every situation. Clients should discuss with their clinicians whether it is the right fit for their needs
Note: Initial counseling (intake) appointments may be scheduled via telehealth. If you are seeking medication management, the first session with a med-som provider must be in person.
